Heuge CUP - setoguro
CHIPS HEUGE CUP SETOGURO
Pottery from the Momoyama period is also known as "Hikidashi Kuro" (drawer black) or "Tensho Kuro" (Tensho black) due to the firing method and the era in which it was fired. One of its defining features is its glossy, deep, jet-black glaze, which is so opaque that the color of the base material is not visible.
In order to create a Setoguro ware that can be used widely on the modern dining table, we used modern glaze mixtures and techniques rather than the same techniques as in the past to achieve a glossy, truly jet black color. Enjoy the contrast between the unique black-on-black tableware and the colorful ingredients.
A straight teacup. This long and thin teacup has been loved by Japanese people for a long time and can be used casually like a small mug. This simple but tasteful teacup is sure to become a staple on your dining table.
