Heuge MATCHA - setoguro
CHIPS HEUGE MATCHA BOWL SETOGURO
Pottery from the Momoyama period is also known as "Hikidashi Kuro" (drawer black) or "Tensho Kuro" (Tensho black) due to the firing method and the era in which it was fired. One of its defining features is its glossy, deep, jet-black glaze, which is so opaque that the color of the base material is not visible.
In order to create a Setoguro ware that can be used widely on the modern dining table, we used modern glaze mixtures and techniques rather than the same techniques as in the past to achieve a glossy, truly jet black color. Enjoy the contrast between the unique black-on-black tableware and the colorful ingredients.
Recently, more and more people are casually enjoying matcha at home, but there are not many things that can be enjoyed casually. Hyoge's matcha bowls are really simple and have no unnecessary shapes, so you can enjoy stylish styling not only for matcha, but also as cafe au lait bowls and salad bowls.
